My name is Carol Poortvliet. I am a graphic designer, wife, mother of two, and child of God. I have been a freelance designer since 1991. During the first 10 years of my career I freelanced while working in a full-time design position. 
But in 1999 I decided to try freelance full-time, knowing that I wanted the flexibility to work from home when we started a family. Now I juggle my design projects with my responsibilities toward my husband, and my 14- and 16-year-old daughters.
My design experience includes working full-time as a designer for two universities, a quick-print shop, a commercial printer and a small design firm. I have freelanced for a variety of clients including design firms, universities, corporations and individuals. Currently my main clientele consists of individuals in ministries across the U.S. I love using the skills and gifts God has given me to help clients fulfill their calling to help others and further His kingdom.
